What Drives Yamaha - The Yamaha Philosophy
Yamaha - constant innovation in the search for fun and excitement.

The design, development and realisation of every Yamaha motorcycle and scooter is driven by our Art of Engineering concept. To produce Yamaha’s class-leading, era-defining machines we demand every component not only performs in an unrivalled way, but also possesses a peerless level of innovation and engineering beauty. This is the passion that drives Yamaha.
2007 also sees Yamaha’s continuing quest to use state-of-the-art technology to enhance the interaction between the rider and his machine.
First there was R-Series’ YCC-T - Yamaha Chip Controlled-Throttle system, then the revolutionary YCC-S shift system of the FJR1300AS. Now Yamaha is ready to stun the world with the new YZF-R1’s YCC-I, Yamaha Chip Controlled-Intake system, the first electronically-controlled, motor-driven variable intake stacks on a production motorcycle. These revolutionary intake stacks cleverly adjust themselves to deliver the optimum power and torque over the entire rpm range.
Yamaha’s cutting edge technology is the future of motorcycling, but our core Art of Engineering is a timeless desire to build the very best motorcycles and scooters on the market. Yamaha’s whole range, including the new-for-2007 FZ6 S2, FZ6 Fazer S2, WR450F and WR250F enduro bikes and XVS1300A Midnight Star super-cruiser are true to Yamaha’s Art of Engineering ideal.
